Before you connect

You need an active DearestWatson account and permission from your company to use the selected AI service. Use the Claude or ChatGPT account your company approves. Your company may make different views available to you.

The AI service receives the information returned by the tools you use. Its own account settings, terms and retention rules apply to that information. Review those settings and your company’s requirements before connecting.

Connect your account

  1. In DearestWatson, open Profile & settings → AI connections and review the available views and setup guidance.
  2. In your approved Claude or ChatGPT account, open the app or connector settings. Select DearestWatson when available, or follow your company’s custom-connection setup. Use the address below if asked. The available setup options depend on your account and company policy.
  3. Sign in to DearestWatson. Complete your usual company sign-in and any required multi-factor authentication.
  4. Choose one company. Review each view you want to connect, including any optional Administrator permissions, then approve only the access you need.

MCP connector address: https://app.dearestwatson.com/mcp

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. The same connector address serves all three views. A connector never gives you a role you do not already hold in DearestWatson.

Choose your access

  • My results and development: read your permitted saved assessment interpretations, work context, assignments and Development Journey. This participant connection is read-only.
  • Teams I lead: read permitted team patterns and progress for teams you currently lead. Sharing choices and minimum group sizes still apply.
  • Administrator: use permitted company information and, where separately approved, manage people, teams or assessment assignments. Changes require the existing permissions, authentication and confirmation.

Private Watson conversations and raw assessment answers are excluded. Company views do not grant access to another person’s private saved Watson interpretation. Platform administration uses a separate connector and is not included in these client views.

Try a conversation

  • “Help me understand my latest DearestWatson assessment.”
  • “Where am I in my Development Journey?”
  • “Show assessment completion for a team I lead.”
  • “As Administrator, show the current teams in my workspace.”

The tools available depend on the views and permissions you approved. Complete assessments and record your participant work in DearestWatson.

Reconnect or disconnect

A combined connection expires when your DearestWatson sign-in expires, and lasts no longer than 30 minutes. If your AI app says the connection has expired, reconnect and review your access again. A new role or an additional permission also needs a new review.

To stop future access, return to Profile & settings → AI connections and disconnect the approved view. Disconnecting any view in a combined connection stops that combined connection until you reconnect. Losing a role or a company permission can also stop access.

Disconnecting cannot remove information the AI service has already received. Manage those conversations and retained information through that service’s controls.

Get help

For a missing view, first check your company and role in DearestWatson. Ask your company Administrator whether access to your chosen AI service is enabled. If access has changed, reconnect to review your current permissions.
